The Rotary Clubs of Luxembourg have announced the return of the "Espoir en tête®" event after a two-year break; the 10th edition will feature the premiere of the enchanting Luxembourgish film “Fox & Hare Save the Forest”, produced by Doghouse Films, Submarine and Walking the Dog, and distributed in Luxembourg by Tarantula.

This special screening will take place on Sunday 6 October 2024 at 10:30 at Kinepolis-Kirchberg and Kinepolis-Belval. The film is accessible from the age of 5 and is being screened in Luxembourgish, French and English.

A tradition of hope and generosity

Launched a decade ago, “Espoir en tête®” is a project of the Rotary Clubs of Luxembourg, inspired by a similar initiative by Rotarians in France. The goal of the event is to support brain diseases research by organising exclusive film premieres. Over the years, “Espoir en tête®” has successfully raised more than €500,000 for this cause. The idea behind it is to invite members of the public to attend a preview of a major film.

By purchasing a cinema ticket for €16 one donates €8 to brain research in Luxembourg. Every euro collected is a euro invested in research in Luxembourg, in line
with the intangible principle of “Espoir en tête®”.

"Fox & Hare Save the Forest” was directed by Mascha Halberstad and it promises to be an enjoyable experience for all participants, while contributing to vital research in Luxembourg. This year’s film is an enchanting, animated adventure about friendship.

Synopsis: Fox and Hare live happily in the woods with their animal friends. But when Owl suddenly disappears, and a mysterious lake begins to flood their homes, Fox and Hare decide to set off together to find the missing bird before the forest disappears underwater. Their aquatic adventure leads them to a short furry animal with a large ego named Beaver, whose extravagant lodge is brimming with toys and other fun distractions — but at what cost?

While audiences of all ages will enjoy the film’s charming animation style, quirky characters and light-hearted sense of humour, “Fox and Hare Save the Forest” also touches on deeper themes such as friendship, loyalty and the environmental concerns posed by development.
