Details:

Pride Week is taking place in Luxembourg from 6 to 14 July 2024; one of the highlights is the Street Fest in Esch-sur-Alzette on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July.

The Equality March will kick off the celebrations in Place de l'Hôtel de Ville on Saturday, starting at 12:30. Directly after the Street Festival, the Pride parties will continue at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette and at the Lenox in Luxembourg City. The following day, more "relaxed" celebrations will begin in Esch-sur-Alzette with the Rainbow Breakfast/Brunch at 10:00.

The lineup includes international and local musicians, Luxembourg Drag artists and performers.

This year, Luxembourg Pride has reached an important milestone in the history of the queer community in Luxembourg: it has been 25 years since a group of activists decided to no longer hide but to actively inform the public about the need for acceptance and equality. What began back then under the name "Gay Mat" as an event with several information stands, has become a whole Pride Week at the beginning of July, directly following international Pride Month in June. The organisers noted that Luxembourg Pride has undergone many changes over the years, leading to this milestone.

Other Pride Week events are taking place at various venues, for example the Luxembourg Pride Run in Luxembourg City on Thursday 11 July 2024.
