A screening of Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life (USA; 120 min) is taking place at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on Friday 8 March 2024 at 17:15.
This English-language documentary by Dan Covert is being screened in the Grand Duchy as part of the fourteenth edition of the Luxembourg City Film Festival (LuxFilmFest), in collaboration with Design Friends.
The subject of the 2023 feature documentary is Canadian visual artist Geoff McFetridge. His work can be seen in the Apple Watch face design or in brand collaborations with Nike, Uniqlo, Hermes... But this film is more than a primer on his career - it is a poetic and intimate look into the life and work of one of the most visionary artists of his time, while also exploring the universal questions of what makes a fulfilling life.
Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature at both the 2023 Calgary International Film Festival and the 2023 SXSW Film Festival.
