Details:

The Kollibri Asbl has announced details of the 8th edition of the 'Koll an Aktioun' family festival on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May 2024 at the site of the ‘Musée de l’Ardoise’ in Haut-Martelange, from 16:00 daily.

Since 2014, the Koll an Aktioun festival has been offering a varied programme for family audiences and fans of culture in all its forms. Alongside a line-up of national and international music, the festival will offer a wide variety of cultural activities in the impressive historic area of the ‘Musée de l’Ardoise’.

Since its early days, this family festival has become a not-to-be-missed event in the national calendar. Together with the local authorities of Rambrouch and the Musée de l'Ardoise, the Kollibri Asbl organisers are once again working hard to ensure that the 8th edition of Koll an Aktioun remains an unmissable event for all the family.

The base cost for a daily ticket is €25, and the Weekend-ticket costs €40; attendees can choose to contribute more if they can. The ticket fees cover fees for artists, children's workshops, logistics, facilities, stage and sound materials.

Around 3,000 people attend each year's festival.

Kollibri is a non-profit organisation with a passionate volunteer team of 100+ people. Sustainability is key - minimising its impact on nature is one of the essential components of the Koll an Aktioun.

From music to children’s workshops, art expositions, creators’ markets and street performances, the Koll an Aktioun will have various activities for all ages.

Saturday's lineup will include the dynamic sounds of Belgian duo La Jungle, Cologne's “Coma” and the homegrown talent of Luxembourgish band Don Piano. It will be the day to attend for those wanting to dance late into the night.

Sunday brings rock headliners Annie Taylor, Collignon and “No metal in this battle”. Children will be able to discover Nikki Ninja & Afrobeathoven, John Happi and Cie One Shot. Local music aficionados can look forward to luk., Culture the kid, Hannah Ida, Neah Lone and many more.

The festival grounds will include a creator's market, museum tours and the whimsical carousel “Les fabuleuses aventures de Marquis De Quevilly”.
