Details:

The Opderschmelz cultural centre in Dudelange is hosting a traditional Irish music concert on Friday 27 September 2024 at 20:00 (doors open at 19:00).

The Dublin Legends will be performing, with audiences imagining themselves in an Irish pub, with the band setting an "authentic" and "infectious" atmosphere with as much spirit as the foursome of Seán Cannon, Gerry O'Connor, Shay Kavanagh and Paul Watchorn.

True folk fans may know the musicians better under the legendary name "The Dubliners". That name disappeared when Dubliners frontman John Sheahan quit in 2012, but the legend remained, as did the "insanely delicious pub atmosphere, which drags listeners stomping and clapping along through uplifting songs and melancholic ballads".

The Dublin Legends bring Irish folk as Irish folk is meant to be: pure and raw from the heart. They do not need shiny sets and special effects to impress; good folk (music) carries itself. And the gifted foursome proves that time and again as they rock the room with their enthusiasm and rhythm. "Molly Mallone", "Whiskey in the Jar", "Seven Drunken Nights", "The Irish Rover" and "Dirty Old Town" are all classics to which one can sing along.

Ten years after the famous Dubliners' 50th anniversary, that famous name may be history, but the band has not lost a fraction of its unrivalled style.
