Details: The 2013 edition of the All American Music Festival in Luxembourg city takes place from 18 to 20 May 2013 (Pentecost week-end) on Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg city. The event encompasses twelve concerts of cajun, country, river boat shuffle, dixieland, blues, jazz, rock and gospel music, all of which will be performed outdoors on the Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg city centre. Free entry. This event was launched in 2006 as the New Orleans Meets Luxembourg and evolved into the All American Musical Festival in 2011. On Pentecost Sunday, the Golden Gospel Singers will perform at a special outdoor gospel brunch. Other highlights announced for the 2013 edition include Stacie Collins (expert on the harmonica, southern rock) in concert on the Saturday evening, the Jim Everett Band (country) and Street Rats (zydeco, cajun, blues, jazz and rock and roll). On the gastronomic side of the event, the Place Guillaume II will see the cuisine of Southern American states. On Sunday and Whit Monday, from 12:00 to 22:00, visitors can sample various specialties. Benches and outdoor tables will enable festival-goers to "get-together" in a friendly and spontaneous atmosphere. The menu features baked potatoes with double cream, Grilled chicken wings with hot sauce, hot honey ham in a roll, Creole Prawns on rice, smoked Andouilles in a roll, Corn on the cob with butter, or Chile con carne.
