On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April 2022, the 11th edition of the DKV-Urban Trail will be held on the streets around Luxembourg-ville.

After a gap of two years, due to COVID-19 measures, the 2022 edition of DKV-Urban Trail had already amassed over 4,600 registrations.

On Saturday morning, walkers will have the choice of individual trail and Nordic Walking, depending on their level of experience, between a 5 km, 13 km or 18 km route while, on Sunday, seven different races are being organised according to different levels and capabilities. The longest trail is 'La GranDucale' of 34 km, followed by the 27 km 'Les Trail des Forts'; the 18 km 'Dans les pas de Mélusine'; the 13 km 'Les Traces de Vauban'; as well as a 900 m and 1,600 m 'Mini-trail' for 6-8 year olds and 9-12 year-olds, respectively.

Traffic Diversions Announced

A number of traffic diversions are planned on the occasion to ensure the smooth running of this sporting event. Traffic will be prohibited in various parts of Luxembourg-Grund.

In Luxembourg-Grund, from 09:00 - 20:00 on Sunday 24 April 2022, the streets closed include the Bisserwee, Montée du Grund, Rue Large, Rue Munster, Rue du Fort Olisy, Rue de Prague, Desserte Schuman, Rue du Fort Thungen, Rue de Trèves, Rue Saint Ulric, Rue Sosthène Weis, Rue Jules Wilhelm and adjacent streets.

The DKV - Urban Trail route will also pass through a number of other roads that will remain open to traffic. These are Boulevard Ulveling, Boulevard Thorn, Rue St Mathieu, Val de Hamm, Rue Auguste Charles and Boulevard Patton.
