The Neumünster Abbey Cultural Exchange Centre (neimënster) is organising, in collaboration with the Embassy of Austria in Luxembourg, a film screening featuring short animations by women filmmakers and an exhibition, entitled "Kalliope", featuring the lives of prominent Austrian women.
In an effort to rewrite the current history of Austria, the latter’s embassy in Luxembourg and neimënster have organised an event dedicated to Austria's forgotten, overlooked and marginalised women. This exhibition, which is suitable for all ages, looks back at the last two centuries and reveals the biographies of prominent Austrian women who have shaped the fate of their country.
The opening of this exhibition also includes film screenings from the world’s only festival led by female animation filmmakers as well as a panel discussion with experts on gender-related topics.
The opening and film screening is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 1 March 2022 at 18:30. Registration is required (see below). The exhibition will remain open to the public from from Wednesday 2 to Sunday 12 March 2022, everyday from 10:00 to 18:00. Entry is free.
