Amnesty International Luxembourg is organising an online meeting with Janna Jihad, a young journalist from Palestine, on Friday 19 November 2021 at 12:30.
Ahead of Universal Children's Day, which takes place on 20 November, Amnesty International Luxembourg is inviting members of the public to discover the situation of children in Palestine. Janna Jihad, a young activist and journalist, will discuss some of the daily hardships that children and their families have been facing in Palestine for years.
This online event will be held in English via Zoom. Registration is via email: activisme@amnesty.lu (number of participants is limited).
This event is part of the "Write for Rights" campaign. Every year around International Human Rights Day (10 December), hundreds of thousands of people around the world send a letter, email or messages on social networks in support of someone they have never met. From 2,326 letters in 2001 to 4.5 million letters, tweets and signatures in 2020, Write for Rights participants are using the power of words to unite behind a common goal: to support people, wherever they are in the world.
