Details:

From 26 June to 25 July 2021, the Festival de Wiltz will make Wiltz, the "heart of the Ardennes", beat faster again.

The Festival de Wiltz is back, albeit in a slightly different format than usual. In order to guarantee the safety of our visitors, the 68th edition of the festival will welcome a more manageable amount of visitors. The versatile music and entertainment programme will take place at two locations: the Amphitheatre in front of Wiltz Castle and Jardin de Wiltz.

In the course of the coming weeks, the festival promises festive conviviality, a cultural and generational get-together.

La Fanfare Couche-Tard will mark the opening of the festival season on 26 June by taking visitors on a journey through the atmospheric, rhythmic and dynamic world of Balkan music. Children can dance along to their Bal des Crapiots.

On 3 July, Pol Belardi's Childhood Memories takes you back to the artist's musical origins: discover how
gaming culture and Japanese composers shaped Belardi's music to this day.

A musical is also planned for younger guests this year. During a magical spectacle of singing, music and colorful costumes, children can enjoy Der kleine Drache Kokosnuss (Coconut, the little dragon), on 4 July (children's performance) and 5 July (school performance).

Bartleby Delicate will be performing enchanting folk music paired with the particular sounds of the electronic genre on 9 July.

An experimental and interdisciplinary kind of performance can be experienced with Lit & Beats, short for “Literature on Beats”, presented by the Luxembourgish author Luc Spada on 10 July. In collaboration with DJ Kwistax, the artist Suzan Noesen and the writer Gast Groeber, the art of the spoken word is reinvented, musically accompanied and with a touch of art performance.

In contrast to more experimental performances, the Festival de Wiltz also offers good old fashioned homemade music by Weeltzer Musik, who will perform on 11 July.

On 16 July, Marly Marques Quintet will offer jazzy world music accompanied by lyrics in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

On 18 July, the progressive, alternative indie musicians Tuys (from Luxembourg but now based in Berlin) will present their current album "A Curtain Call For Dreamers".

On 25 July, German-Luxembourgish singer Adrienne Haan will wrap up the festival with her vibrant repertoire of French chansons by music legends such as Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour and Kurt Weill.
