Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour has recalled that more than 600,000 employees, pensioners, apprentices and jobseekers will be called upon to elect their representatives within the Chamber of Employees (Chambre des Salariés - CSL) in March 2024.

Preparations for these "social" elections already began a few months ago, noted the ministry.

As these elections will be held exclusively by postal voting, ballots will be sent by regular post to voters in the coming weeks. Each voter must then complete their ballot and return it by Tuesday 12 March 2024 at the latest.

To get an idea of the scope of the work being carried out ahead of these elections, Luxembourg's Minister of Labour, Georges Mischo, this week visited the REKA printing company which is among those responsible for printing electoral documents.

During this visit, Minister Mischo was accompanied by CSL Director Sylvain Hoffmann. They both highlighted the importance of the social elections and appealed to voters to make use of their right to vote.
