On Tuesday 1 February 2022, Luxembourg's unemployment agency, ADEM, announced that the registration procedure for jobseekers is now available 100% online, via MyGuichet.lu.

Subject to fulfilling the conditions for exercising a professional activity in Luxembourg and being available for employment, anyone looking for a job in the Grand Duchy can register as a jobseeker at the ADEM.

Registering with ADEM allows jobseekers to benefit from all the services offered by ADEM: individual follow-up by an adviser to facilitate their job search, access to the JobBoard to consult vacancies and submit their applications, participate in measures to promote employment and training according to their profile, access to financial aid according to their profile, etc.

The announcement is in continuation of digitisation drive of ADEM services and offering a simplified procedure, it is now possible for users with LuxTrust devices, like LuxToken, to identify themselves online and download directly the necessary documents and provide information on their profile and choice of employment search.

If any information is missing, the jobseeker will be asked to complete the file. Once the process is complete, the jobseeker will receive a letter inviting to a first meeting with an adviser at ADEM, who will be the contact person for future job search. The letter will also contain the "Jobseeker's Guide", as well as other useful and necessary information.

The online registration tool can be accessed via MyGuichet.lu platform under "Employment" section: https://guichet.public.lu/fr/citoyens/travail-emploi/chomage/inscription-adem/inscription-job-seeker.html.

Registrations via telephone will continue to be available and requires making a prior appointment by contacting ADEM at 247-88888 or by filling out the form online on the ADEM website www.adem.lu.
