In light of rising COVID-19 cases and accompanying health measures, the deadline for submitting requests for partial unemployment for the month of November has been extended to Thursday 5 November 2020 inclusive.
Such requests must normally be submitted by the 12th day of the month before at the latest, applications for November may be exceptionally submitted by next Thursday.
An exceptional procedure has been put in place for companies which had not yet submitted a request for partial unemployment for the month of November and which now consider it is necessary. From now until 5 November, the companies concerned can download the application form from guichet.lu, complete, sign and return it as soon as possible via email: chp.novembre@eco.etat.lu. Applications must be accompanied by a bank identity statement (RIB) and the declaration of the staff delegation certifying that they have been informed of the partial unemployment application process or, in the absence of a staff delegation, a declaration signed by each employee affected by partial unemployment.
Companies which had already submitted a request for partial unemployment for the month of November may exceptionally, during the final statement to be submitted to the ADEM employment agency, correct the number of staff concerned, while ensuring that they comply with the rules in force concerning the maximum percentage of the workforce that can be targeted.
This exceptional procedure is only valid for the month of November. In practice, this means that exceptional requests for the month of November can be submitted alongside requests for the month of December, following the usual procedure.
