With the end of the state of emergency approaching (24 June) and in order to revive the economy, new methods of granting partial unemployment to companies affected by the COVID-19 crisis will come into force from July until 31 December 2020.
In view of these new procedures, the deadlines for applying for partial unemployment for the next two months are as follows:
- requests for the month of July must be made via MyGuichet.lu from 20 to 26 June 2020 inclusive;
- requests for the month of August must be made via MyGuichet.lu from 1 to 12 July 2020 inclusive;
Requests for the months of September, October, November and December 2020 must be submitted via MyGuichet.lu no later than the 12th day of the month preceding the requested partial unemployment period (for example by 12 August for partial unemployment requests relating to the month of September). In no case may partial unemployment benefits be granted retroactively.
The company, or its agent (eg a trustee), must submit the request electronically through its professional space on the MyGuichet.lu platform. The person making the request needs a LuxTrust product or an electronic identity card. The electronic form will be online from 20 June 2020.
From Thursday 18 June 2020, the hotline 8002-9191 will be operating every working day between 08:00 and 17:00 to answer questions relating to requests for partial unemployment linked to the economic recovery.
