Luxembourgish trade unions the LCGB and the OGBL today renewed the collective agreement for the security sector with FEDIL Security Services, the employers' federation.
This agreement will guarantee 4,000 employees an increase in purchasing power and better working conditions, including the following improvements:
- an overall minimum wage increase of 2.5% over three years for all personnel falling under the scope of the collective agreement;
- an increased bonus for dog handlers;
- an increased bonus for those transporting funds;
- assimilation of the marriage and partnership bonus;
- 1% of the payroll of each company will be donated to a training fund to allow better training of the agents of the sector;
- adaptation of weekly working hours as part of the work organisation plan;
- a decrease in break period required between two services;
- an extra day off after 20 years of service.
The agreement comes following over 18 months of intense negotiations.
