The 2020 Coupe de Luxembourg has been postponed from Sunday 25 October until the week-end of 12-13 December 2020, according to a statement issued by Curling Club Luxembourg.

The statement read "Given the current situation regarding the COVID-19 epidemic and in light of the recommendations by the government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Curling Club Luxembourg announces the postponement of the Coupe de Luxembourg, originally planned for this coming Sunday, 25 October 2020.
The new date for Coupe de Luxembourg is 12/13 December 2020. We do not take this decision lightly. We consider curling an inherently safe sport and have implemented strict guidelines for safe play since the lockdown was lifted. Nevertheless, out of abundance of caution and respect of the game and fellow curlers, we decided to postpone the event
."

Karen Wauters, President Curling Club Luxembourg, and Alex Benoy, for the tournament organising committee, added "Additionally, we are temporarily putting out training sessions on hold, at least until we have cleared guidance from the authorities and have checked our existing guidelines for safe play against new restrictions. We expect to communicate new rules regarding training sessions by the end of the coming week."
