On Saturday 27 September 2025, the winners of the 2025 Luxembourg Volleyball Supercup were decided at the Hall Omnisports in Strassen.
In the women’s tie, league and cup holders - and current Supercup champions - VC Mamer faced RSR Walfer. The match did not see much suspense, with the champions sealing a 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-17, 25-23).
Following the win, Mamer captain Vanessa Koos told Chronicle.lu that while it had not been an easy start to the season, the team had shown resilience: “It was the first game of the season and the Super Cup is always a do-or-die situation… We had some ups and downs but managed to come through. It’s a good start, especially for our younger players, and of course we want to repeat last season’s three titles.”
Koos also noted that Mamer had integrated four young Luxembourgish players into the wider squad. In the Supercup starting six, the team featured new middle blocker Paula Verardo from Argentina, who previously played in Spain.
In the men’s match, league and cup holders VC Stroossen faced VC Fentange. An upset unfolded as Fentange claimed the Supercup trophy after a dramatic five-set battle.
The visitors started strongly, leading 20-11 in the opening set before Stroossen managed to level at 23-23. Dragan Vujovic's team nevertheless held their nerve to win 25-23. Stroossen responded with authority, taking the next two sets 25-14 and 25-20, but Fentange came back to force a decider by winning the fourth set 25-16.
The tie-break went down to the wire, with Fentange eventually edging it 23-21 to seal a 3-2 victory and lift the Supercup under coach Dragan Vujovic.
