Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, Children and Youth has announced the continued digitalisation and simplification of its vocational trainig service and related procedures.
The vocational training service (Service de la formation professionnelle - SFP) is continuing its digitalisation process and facilitating the general public's access to certain procedures online via MyGuichet.lu. Dynamic questionnaires, developed in collaboration with the Government IT Centre, will guide the user step by step through his process.
Several forms are already available; for instance, training organisations which employ one or more apprentices can now apply online for the one-off premium created in December 2020 in the context of the COVID-19 health crisis to promote apprenticeship.
Since 1 February 2021, workers can also request individual training leave via MyGuichet.lu. This is a special leave allowing those interested to participate in courses or prepare for exams, among other related things. As a general rule, each beneficiary has 80 days of training leave to take throughout his / her professional career. Employers can also request a reimbursement to compensate for these training leave days via MyGuichet.lu.
By the end of 2021, the procedures for the validation of acquired experience ("validation des acquis de l'expérience") is expected to be accessible online; this makes it possible to obtain a qualification through one's professional experience.
To access these procedures online, users must connect to MyGuichet.lu, choose "Select a procedure" in the "My procedures" tab and then select the field "Education". There they can find the “Single premium” or “Training leave” processes, where they should click on the "Create” button.
The completed form will be sent to employees of the vocational training service for processing. Applicants will then receive the relevant information by post.
