On Thursday 26 March 2026, Luxair announced that it expected operational disruptions from Thursday 27 March 2026 and throughout the Easter holiday period due to planned industrial action by ground handling companies in Spain.

Luxair said it is closely monitoring the situation and taking all possible steps to minimise disruption and maintain the smoothest service possible. Based on the current planning, Luxair flights to and from Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) and Tenerife are expected to operate, although delays may occur. Flights to other Luxair destinations in Spain are not expected to be affected.

Luxair will communicate any changes directly to affected Luxair and LuxairTours customers through the contact details provided in their booking. Passengers travelling through the affected airports in Spain are strongly advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure, as longer waiting times are to be expected.

Luxair apologised for the inconvenience and thanked passengers for their understanding, assuring them of its commitment to providing the best possible service and minimising the impact of external disruptions.
