On Wednesday 8 May 2024, Luxembourg’s flight company, Luxair, announced that one of its aircraft had to return to the Findel Airport following a technical incident.
The Luxair flight LG4541 from Luxembourg to Manchester encountered a technical incident and, for safety reasons, it was decided that it turn around and return to the departure airport.
The passengers were informed by the captain and the crew and their safety was not in jeopardy at any time, Luxair noted. As a precaution and following regulations, the aircraft was escorted by emergency services upon landing until its parking position in Luxembourg.
A new flight was organised today on an alternate aircraft for the passengers who were on board. It is currently already on its way to Manchester and will land there with a total delay of approximately 2h30min, Luxair concluded.
