Luxair Adds Nantes, Montpellier, Florence Summer Destinations

Luxair Luxembourg Airlines has announced three new destinations served by direct flights for the next summer season: the French cities of Nantes and Montpellier and the Italian city of Florence.

From today, Tuesday 3 September 2019, three new Luxair destinations will be on sale for departures in summer 2020. Flights will be operated with Q400 aircraft and will take under two hours. Flight times were chosen specially to allow both long stays and short getaways. 

Nantes

From summer 2020, Luxair Luxembourg Airlines will be the only airline in the Greater Region to fly to the city of Nantes, located in western France near the Atlantic Ocean. Nantes is considered to be the gateway to the West, due to its perfect location between land and sea, in the middle of Breton cities such as Brest, Rennes and La Rochelle. The first flight to Nantes will operate on 30 March 2020. Flights will run Mondays and Fridays (Luxembourg - Nantes departing at 11:05; Nantes - Luxembourg departing at 13:35).

Montpellier

The city of Montpellier, located on the French Riviera, has joined Luxair's list of destinations on the south coast of France. Montpellier is as much a business destination as a seaside resort, just like Nice situated in the far south-eastern part of France. It is statistically one of the sunniest regions in France, too. The first flight to Montpellier will operate on 1 April 2020. Flights will run Wednesdays and Saturdays (Luxembourg - Montpellier departing at 11:05; Montpellier - Luxembourg departing at 13:30).

Florence

Luxair has strengthened its presence in northern Italy with the addition of Florence to its summer 2020 destination list. Situated in mid-west Italy, Florence is often considered to be among the country’s most beautiful cities. Its central location makes it particularly inviting for holidays to explore the city and the region of Tuscany. The first flight to Florence will operate on 30 March 2020. Flights will run Mondays and Fridays (Luxembourg - Florence departing at 11:25; Florence - Luxembourg departing at 14:05).
