On Thursday 7 March 12024, Luxembourg's Ministry of Mobility and Public Works announced that two passenger ground handling licenses at Luxembourg airport had been allocated.
As part of a European tender procedure, in accordance with the law of 19 May 1999 governing access to the ground handling market for passengers at Luxembourg airport, four applications were received.
The provision of these services at Luxembourg airport is limited to two service providers, in accordance with the regulations in force.
On a proposal from the managing entity lux-Airport (Luxembourg Airport Company SA) and after consultation with the airport users committee, the Minister of Mobility and Public Works, Yuriko Backes, awarded the two licenses respectively to Alyzia SAS and Luxair SA.
