Luxembourg's Naturmusée (MNHN – National Museum of Natural History) has announced its new travelling exhibition, Into the Wild! – The Fascination of Wild Bees, which is on display at Lycée Ermesinde until Tuesday 30 June 2026.

According to the MNHN, the exhibition was officially launched on World Bee Day, Tuesday 20 May 2026, during the inauguration of the new pollinator garden at Lycée Ermesinde, attended by Serge Wilmes, Luxembourg's Minister of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity.

During the event, Alexander Weigand, zoologist and curator at the Naturmusée, highlighted the importance of wild bees for biodiversity. He noted that more than 350 species have already been recorded in Luxembourg, with a forthcoming scientific publication set to present 38 newly discovered species. He also revealed that his team is currently working on an atlas of Luxembourg's wild bees.

Through the exhibition, the museum aims to highlight the ecological importance of pollinating insects and demonstrate how individuals can contribute to biodiversity conservation, whether in gardens, on balconies or in school environments.

According to the MNHN, the travelling exhibition is available for booking by schools, municipalities and other organisations. Guided visits and exhibition materials are available in French, German and English. For further information and booking details, visit the Naturmusée website or beelibre.lu.
