Luxembourg's Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth has confirmed that the 4th edition of YEP!-Schoulfoire (Education Fair) will be held at the LuxExpo The Box exhibition centre in Luxembourg-Kirchberg from Sunday 27 to Wednesday 30 April 2025.
This largest annual event for educational and career guidance is primarily aimed at students in cycle 4 of primary education, those in the final year of primary school at international schools, and secondary school students; it is also aimed at parents and education professionals.
The Education Fair will open its doors on Sunday 27 April with a major family day. The days of 28, 29 and 30 April, from 08:30 to 15:30, are reserved for school classes registered for YEP!-Schoulfoire activities.
The entire school offering and numerous interactive workshops
The fair brings together hundreds of secondary education experts, allowing visitors to discover the full range of school offerings. Parents will be able to ask questions to help them make an informed choice for their children's academic and professional future.
The Education Fair is not only an opportunity to discover the entire range of school offerings, but also to participate in dozens of interactive workshops. Nine educational areas allow children and young people to gain insight into different career sectors and develop their interests. The programme also includes shows and presentations on the school offerings.
Family Day on Sunday 27 April
The big family day will welcome visitors from 11:00 to 18:00. This first day of YEP!-Schoulfoire will allow families to enjoy an informative, enjoyable and discovery-filled day.
A catering service provided by Restopolis will be available on-site for families throughout the day.
A large-scale event based on five pillars
Covering a total area of 17,000 m² spread across three exhibition halls at LuxExpo The Box, YEP!-Schoulfoire 2025 is based on five pillars:
- The Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth, the Guidance Center, and the school offering: specialists from the school system are present on site. While the main stand is staffed by representatives from the Maison de l'Orientation and various ministerial departments, the School Integration and Reception Service (SIA), the National Inclusive Education Service (SNEI), and the Psychosocial and School Support Center (CePAS) are present with their own information stands, as is the National Student Conference of Luxembourg (CNEL).
- The platform for Luxembourg's secondary schools: 45 secondary schools have a stand at YEP!-Schoulfoire.
- The workshops and shows: Several hundred participatory activities spread over the four days await visitors.
- The nine training areas: Discover all the training programmes grouped into "areas": Construction, Production, and Creation; Science, Technology and Computer Science;
- Nature and Environment; School, Education, and Society; Industry and Mechanics; Tourism, Gastronomy and Hospitality; Art, Culture, and Languages; Economics, Finance and Sales; and Health and Beauty. In each area, workshops and demonstrations led by professionals await visitors.
The "Léierplazendag": On Monday, 28 April, from 09:00 - 13:00, companies seeking apprentices and apprentices seeking apprenticeship positions will meet for a live "matchmaking" in Hall 9 of YEP!-Schoulfoire. This event is organised in partnership with the professional chambers, ADEM, and RTL.
