On Friday 1 December 2023, the eleventh edition of “MusiqCITE – Intercultural, musical and citizen meetings” will take place at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, in Luxembourg-Hollerich.

From 19:00, amateur music groups will showcase their talent on stage, presenting a vibrant mix of music, dancing and singing to the audience. Following the performances, the City of Luxembourg will host a reception featuring a diverse array of international treats and products for the attendees to enjoy.

This evening is part of the programme of awareness-raising actions carried out by the City of Luxembourg in the field of integration. These actions aim to encourage exchange between people of different nationalities and cultures, to promote diversity and to highlight the importance of taking into account the intercultural aspect in daily life.

On the agenda :

• Hands on Mars: an acoustic duo who play covers/medleys of different styles of music;

• The Swingin’ Hepcats: a group that performs swing songs from the 20s and 30s;

• La Fanfare du Soleil: music from the Amazigh culture (North African country);

• Fernanda Stange: a singer-songwriter of songs written in a folk-pop and bluesy style;

• Placido Vaz: traditional Cape Verdean music.

The evening will begin with a welcome speech by Corinne Cahen, the Alderman responsible for social action and integration. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Carisa Delgado.
