The Dog Wellness Company Sarl is organising an afternoon of fun, dogs and fundraising to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Martha & Friends Dog Wellness (www.marthaandfriends.lu), and raise funds for the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, on Sunday 15 October 2023 from 12:00 (the show and other activities start at 13:00).
A Match Dog Show is being held along with other fun activities for dogs and owners, including a lottery with great prizes, at its premises in Munsbach (17A rue Gabriel Lippmann).
The event is open to those who would like to practice their dog handling skills at the Match Show, and those who would like to learn about dog shows, as well as those who just love dogs and fancy a fun-filled afternoon of four-pawed adorableness.
A Match Dog Show is an informal but professionally organised opportunity to educate and socialise dogs. They are evaluated by professional judges and dog show handlers, and the event will take place under the watchful eyes of the well-known international judge Mme Marie-Josée Melchior-Schlechter, from Luxembourg.
“Our charity dog shows, which have become a tradition here at Martha & Friends, are an opportunity for dog owners, breeders and handlers to practice their show handling skills with advice and comments from esteemed professional judges who share their knowledge and experience in an unofficial capacity. Beginners can come and also learn about dog shows as well,” explains Carina Hellemaa, Founder and Managing Director of Martha & Friends. “It’s not all about breeders and judges though, anyone interested in a dog show is invited. Even if you just want to have an afternoon of fun with your dog come join us and meet members of the team who care for the dogs here at Martha’s.”
All proceeds from the Charity Match Show will go to the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation, which offers life-enhancing support to children with cancer and their families.
Entrance: Free for spectators (a lottery will take place with each ticket at €20); dog registration to the Match Show: €25 per dog/per class.
Lunch includes local Luxembourg treats and food from the Letzeburger Food Truck will be sold outside.
