The Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation Asbl has announced that it is organising the second session of the offline platform "The Roots", with the support of Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture, at Hotel Parc Belle-Vue in Luxembourg City on Saturday 14 October 2023 from 14:00 to 19:00.
"The Roots" is a physical stage platform for reflection on different topics and a new way of socialising. The first edition took place in 24 March 2023 and was deemed a success by its organisers.
The keynote speaker of the second session is Zira Nauryzbai, a prominent personality, writer, screenwriter, ethnographer and philosopher from Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstani contemporary artist Almagul Menlibayeva will host the artistic session of this edition. Moreover, following the requests of guests of the first edition, Saltanat Amir from the University of Cambridge will be back to take the audience back to the corners of unknown history.
The organisers explained that by launching the offline platform "The Roots", they have introduced a new way of integrating people built on three pillars: socialising, expertise and entertainment.
This upcoming session, entitled "Back to the Future", will include art, history, storytelling, social talks and music.
The cost of attending this event is €10; entry is free for children. Further details are available on the Facebook event page: https://facebook.com/events/s/the-roots2-back-to-the-future/621229376826822/
