The organisers of the "Nouspelter Emaischen" have confirmed that this year's traditional Easter markets will not go ahead as planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Éimaischen markets are traditionally held every year on Easter Monday around the Fish Market and Grand Ducal Palace in the capital as well as in Nospelt, a village in southern Luxembourg. Last year's event also fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite the markets being cancelled again this year, the public can purchase different models of the traditional "Péckvillercher" clay birds via the Nouspelter Emaischen website from Saturday 20 March 2021. Customers can then collect their purchases on Easter Monday.
