Silicon Luxembourg has announced that the coworking space Paladium - Le Jardin Secret (the Secret Garden), located in Bertrange, is organising a plant sale on Saturday 6 March 2021.
Designed as a speakeasy, Paladium's Secret Garden is a hybrid between a workspace and a tearoom and is entirely furnished with recycled items. The space has welcomed new guests since the beginning of the year.
Given the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the managers of the coworking space decided to offer a new type of event: a large plant sale, in its former office building.
On Saturday morning, sales will take place by prior reservation and in the afternoon everyone is free to walk in; a maximum of 40 people at a time will be allowed and mask wearing is obligatory. Snacks and drinks to take away will be available.
The concept was proposed by Plantes Addict, a French company that buys indoor plants of all sizes and costs from northern Europe at wholesale prices. It organises ephemeral sales in atypical places. The principle is beneficial to everyone: it allows to sell the goods in a very short time and to make such unique places known to the public. The same type of event has also existed in Metz for the past three years, with sales being regularly organised by another collective at the St Pierre aux Nonnains chapel.
The plant sale at Paladium - Le Jardin Secret (10A rue des Mérovingiens, L-8070 Bertrange) will take place this Saturday from 09:00 to 12:00 by appointment (register on Facebook) and from 12:00 to 17:30 free admission.
