Gilles Muller at Wimbledon 2018;
On Thursday, Luxembourg’s Gilles Muller, 35 years old and ranked #60 in the world, lost in the second round of the Men’s Singles at this year’s Wimbledon tennis championships.
Gilles Muller had prevailed in a tough first round match, against 20 year-old Michael Mmoh from the US, tanked #119, in a see-saw match that finished 7-5, 4-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-1.
However, in the second round he was up against 34 year-old Philipp Hohlschreiber from Germany, ranked #27 and seeded 25th. Muller went down in three sets, all in a tie-break: 6-7, 6-7, 6-7.
