Due to family issues, former world No.1 tennis player Victoria Azarenka has withdrawn from the BGL BNP PARIBAS Luxembourg Open 2017.
The 28-year-old Belarusian professional tennis player announced in August that she was no longer sure of her ability to compete in this Luxembourg Open tournament due to commitments to looking after her son Leo, born last December. This has now been confirmed with her withdrawal from the event which is taking place from 14 to 21 October 2017.
Czech tennis player Barbora Strykova has also withdrawn from the tournament last minute.
