At this morning’s Moselle Open tennis championships press conference, the 2nd wildcard was awarded to a Frenchman, Pierre-Hugues Herbert, winner of the 2015 US Open doubles title with his compatriot, Nicolas Mahut (famous for his loss in the 1st round 2010 Wimbledon Championship's historic longest professional tennis match against the American, John Isner); Mahut and Herbert are signed up to play both singles and doubles in Metz.
World No. 4, 2014 Australian Open and 2015 French Open Champion, Stan Wawrinka, will make his first appearance in Metz. Other participants include Luxembourg’s 46th ranked Gilles Muller, the popular German, Dustin Brown and his two time victories over Rafael Nadal, the charismatic tournament two-time champion, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and the No. 2 Canadian (ATP No. 46), Vasek Pospisil.
The Metz Open will take place from 19 - 27 September 2015 in Metz, France.
