On Sunday, the doubles pairing of Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan (USA, top seeds) overcame the challenge of Luxembourg's Gilles Muller and playing partner Colin Fleming (UK) in the final of the Men's Doubles at the BB&T Atlanta Open tennis tournament at the Atlantic Station in Georgia, USA.
Despite a positive start by the Luxembourg-UK pairing when they won the first set breaking the American twice in the process, the American brothers pairing won through 4-6, 7-6, 10-4. In the second set, Muller and Fleming were one point away from serving for the championship, at 5-5 and deuce on the Bryans' serve, but the Americans held their nerve to save the game, win the set and ultimately to go on and win the match.
With the winners taking home 250 Emirates ATP Rankings points and $32,370. Fleming and Muller will share 150 points and $17,020.
In the Men's Singles, John Isner (USA) defeated Marcos Baghdatis (Cyprus) 6-3, 6-3, to win the title for the 3rd year in a row.
