Meanwhile, 29 year-old Luxembourg professional tennis player, Mandy Minella, ranked #208, did not make the first round draw for the Ladies Singles at Wimbledon this year, falling at the final qualifying hurdle to Germany's L. Siegemund, 6-4, 6-3. However, in the 2nd qualifying round, the player from the Grand Duchy ranked #205 in the world managed a big win by defeating the (qualifying) top seed, Lourdes Dominguez Lino, 7-6, 6-2. Together they won their first round match against Dart and Dunner of Britain, 6-1, 6-3, and then their second round match against Cepelova (Slovakia) ad Voegele of Switzerland, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5.
