Deloitte Luxembourg has confirmed that it has welcomed 308 young professionals with 26 different nationalities to the firm, demonstrating its continued confidence in the future, with onboarding activities undertaken.

The junior profiles, kick-starting their careers at the professional services firm of 2,300 employees, were greeted during special welcome days and then introduced to the firm’s corporate culture through an induction programme held between 5 and 15 October, at Deloitte’s premises and in Luxembourg city. “Impactful human connection is a fundamental ingredient of our DNA and a key success of our business. Being able to physically meet our new joiners in a safe environment at DSquare was a great way to soak up Deloitte’s unique atmosphere. We will continue supporting our people’s development in an inclusive organizational culture to live by the Firm’s values, work collaboratively, and provide excellent service to our clients at all times,” stated Stephan Tilquin, Partner and Talent leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.

A new way of onboarding

While 2020’s induction programme was virtual, this year’s journey was adapted to the current sanitary situation, which allowed engaging introductory sessions, networking and teambuilding events to take place in person under the CovidCheck protocol. The kick-off event at DSquare, featuring interactive presentations by Managing Partner John Psaila, Talent leader Stephan Tilquin and the Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion leaders Francesca Messini and Christian van Dartel, was also livestreamed to allow new joiners to attend virtually. Moreover, the event included a motivational guest speech by entrepreneur and former skate professional Taïg Khris.

The induction programme is a blended approach of in-person and virtual training sessions, including a digital journey via Deloitte’s AI-powered platform CURA that integrates learning into the daily workflow. Alongside technical and soft skills, the programme fosters enduring human capabilities for the future. A fun city game and networking events allowed new joiners to bond across service lines and discover interesting facts about Luxembourg.

Attracting the best talent has always been at the heart of our strategy at Deloitte. Our steadfast commitment to allow them to grow and build fulfilling careers is pivotal to ensure we remain the employer of choice for new generations and a partner of choice for our clients. This was underpinned again this year by Universum, in its yearly “World's Most Attractive Employers” ranking, which saw our global organisation recognised as the preferred choice for students amongst all professional services firms,” stated John Psaila, Managing Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg.
