On Friday 18 September 2015, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) reported that it has entered into a cooperative agrrement with the Public Company Accounting Board (PCAOB), the supervisory authority of audit firms in the United States.
The partnership will focus on the oversight of audit firms subject to the regulatory jurisdictions of both regulators, and will represent the third cooperative agreement with an audit regulator outside of the EU for CSSF.
Similar arrangements with other jurisdictions are under negotiation.
