Swimming Luxembourg (SL) has announced that the 33rd edition of the SL Synchro Cup Open, an international artistic swimming competition, will take place from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 May 2026 at the pool of Campus Geesseknäppchen in Luxembourg-Merl.
The competition, the largest artistic swimming event in Luxembourg, is set to bring together eighteen clubs from seven countries, with a total of 229 athletes competing in the Youth (thirteen-fifteen) and Junior (sixteen-nineteen) categories across solo, duet and team events.
According to SL, the event has been selected by the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Natation et de Sauvetage (FLNS) as a qualification competition for Luxembourgish Junior athletes aiming to compete at the European and World Championships. For Youth athletes from participating countries, the competition will also serve as preparation for the European Aquatics Youth Artistic Swimming Championships.
The programme is scheduled to take place on Friday from 18:00 to 21:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00.
Admission costs €5, while entry is free for children. Tickets can be purchased on site.
Swimming Luxembourg will also host a second artistic swimming competition from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 June 2026, aimed at beginners, children aged up to twelve and junior soloists.
