Luxembourg swimmer Monique Olivier set new national records over the weekend at the Edinburgh International Swim Meet (EISM).
On Friday, the first day of the EISM, held in the Scottish capital on 13-15 March 2020, Monique Olivier set a new national record in the 400m freestyle in her adopted home and won the final of the fastest eight in 04:11.59 minutes. The 21-year-old swimmer significantly improved her previous record (04:14.15), set at the Euro Meet in January.
Over half the distance, Monique Olivier also set a new national record on Saturday. In 02:00.71 minutes, she swam to sixth place in the final and improved her old best time from the Euro Meet by 0.82 seconds.
