The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) has announced the admission of China International Capital Corporation (UK) Limited (CICC UK) as a new trading and listing member with immediate effect.
"We are delighted to welcome CICC UK as a new trading and listing member at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. These memberships, which mark a significant step forward for both institutions, will contribute to further facilitating cross-border investment activities between China and the international investor community, particularly in regard to the listing and trading of Global Depositary Receipts," commented Julie Becker, CEO of LuxSE.
As part of its new status as a trading and listing member, CICC UK aims to strengthen the firm's international presence by enabling the trading and listing of Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), as well as bridging the gap between China and international investors.
"We are extremely pleased to be the first Chinese firm to become a listing and trading member of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. It will enable us to better connect the capital markets and investors between China, Luxembourg and Europe. This is another key milestone in CICC's ongoing journey of strengthening its presence in Europe and globally," said Xinhan Xia, CEO of CICC UK.
