Luxembourg's Ministry of Sports has announced the launch of the "LTAD - Lëtzebuerg lieft Sport" (Luxembourg lives sport) mobile application, which is now available for free download in iOS version in the App Store and in Android version in the Google Play Store.

This shared digital platform is part of the overall concept of LTAD - Lëtzebuerg lieft Sport in which the following five partners are collaborating: the Ministry of Sports, the National School for Physical Education and Sport, the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee, the Sportlycée and the Luxembourg Institute for High Performance in Sports. The concept aims to take into account the different phases of development of athletes and physically active people, including specific requirements in terms of age and individual goals. The vision is to develop a society which carries out physical activities in all its facets.

The mobile application is a modern and dynamic tool aimed at allowing the world of sport and physical activity in Luxembourg to act as a network, to expand and exchange their knowledge. As a result, its launch is only the beginning; the ambitious objective of becoming a national reference in terms of educational media library for physical activity and sports cannot be achieved from its creation alone. As such, it is constantly evolving, in terms of both content and structure, and will be constantly supplemented as it evolves.

The teaching material is made available to all interested parties, namely coaches, motor skills trainers, sports monitors, educators, teachers in their interventions within sports federations, sports clubs, educational or care structures for children, schools or sports offered at the municipal level.

A video (in Luxembourgish and English) showing all facets of physical activity and sport, including the values of sport, accompanies the launch of the LTAD - Lëtzebuerg lieft Sport concept. The English version can be viewed below.
