The Special Olympics Luxembourg (SOL), a local sports federation for people with intellectual disabilities, has announced that it is currently looking to recruit a full-time sports director (40 hours per week).

The successful applicant would be responsible for sports management and sports development strategies, as well as planning, coordinating and organising training and competitions in different sports. He / she would also be in charge of the design, coordination and implementation of trainings for coaches and volunteers.

An ideal candidate would know how to communicate in French / German and English, with Luxembourgish language skills considered an advantage. He / she should also possess knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, teamwork skills and knowledge of the world of sport and its regulations. Knowledge of the world of people with intellectual disabilities is considered an advantage. Prior experience in the organisation of sports events is also desired, as are availability and flexibility concerning working hours and the traits of versatility, responsiveness and rigour.
