The Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation asbl has announced that it will be holding a Kazakh film screening of "Yellow Cat" on Friday 19 February 2021 at 20:00 and Saturday 20 February at 17:00 at Kinepolis-Kirchberg.

“Yellow Cat” is by renowned director Adilkhan Yerzhanov and producer Assel Sadvakassova. The film was part of the official selection of the "Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica La Biennale di Venezia 2020". 

Synopsis: Ex-con Kermek and his beloved Eva want to leave their crime-infested lives on the Kazakh steppes behind. He has a dream: building a cinema in the mountains.

Subtitles: English and French. 

Film running time: 90 minutes.

According to the asbl, the main characters, Kermek and Eva, can be actually called the “Kazakh Bonnie and Clyde”, but are much more humane.
