On Monday 11 November 2024, Home from Home's new Teapot Parlour (148 Route d'Arlon, Strassen) will be the venue for the launch of Anne Faber's new book "Baking with Anne".
The event starts at 18:30, and Anne will talk about putting together her new cookery book (which is written in English), including from where her inspiration came.
This book is for those looking for easy, tried and tested recipes that anyone can make. In this collection, award-winning author Anne of Anne’s Kitchen shares her cherished family recipes and personal baking creations throughout the seasons. The book holds 75 sweet and savoury recipes, including beloved classics like Anne’s Bamkuch, her viral custard rhubarb cake and lots of yummy Christmas cookies. Seasoned bakers will be happy to discover lesser known traditional Luxembourgish treats, including Anne’s great-grandmother’s recipe for the perfect Schuedi.
Illustrated with beautiful seasonal photos of Luxembourg, this book is guaranteed to provide readers with fantastic baking inspiration throughout the year. It could also make a wonderful Christmas present!
The event will conclude with a reception of crémant, tea and coffee, during which Anne will be signing copies of her book.
Talking with Chronicle.lu, Anne Faber stated "After writing five cookbooks ranging from British food to dishes inspired by my travels to Luxembourgish cuisine with a twist, I wanted to dedicate a whole book to the simple pleasure of baking. I love the comfort of home-baking. Taking the time to switch on the oven, putting on some relaxed music and whipping up something that will make the whole house smell wonderful. This book is for those of you looking for easy, tried-and tested recipes that anyone can make!" and added "I'm very excited to present my book at the cozy tea room from Home Home and tell you all about my seasonal recipes around a cup of tea (or Crémant) and a slice of cake!".
