Real estate services company Nhood has unveiled the results of the first edition of the "Inspiretail" competition, launched in the second quarter of 2024.

Established to reward innovative ideas capable of changing the world of retail, "Inspiretail" is open to all brands and companies seeking to reinvent themselves in order to shape the retail landscape of the future, in line with the values on which Nhood is founded: people, planet, profit.

As reported by Nhood, the initiative promotes the implementation of innovative and sustainable business practices. It is expected to contribute to a positive economic, social and environmental impact, while at the same time creating an attractive mixed environment for retailers and customers alike.

Nhood announced the following four winners:

  • Gold Award - Planet Category: Joy Ignaczak, Jaiio: a high-end second-hand boutique
  • Silver Award - Profit Category: Mélissa Artis, Waekura: trendy and affordable jewellery
  • Bronze Award - People Category: Naomi Barre, Superette: a creative and sustainable grocery store
  • Public Award - Profit Category: Aline Roth, Les Boîtes de Bobonne: festive culinary boxes and gourmet buffets

Rewards for the finalists include physical space in the Cloche d'Or and Kirchberg shopping centres for periods ranging from a fortnight to six months, as well as brand promotion through Nhood's communication network and partner centres.

Categories

  • People: Highlights brands that stand out for their contribution to social inclusion, social innovation, equality and diversity, and responsible engagement. It particularly supports initiatives led by young creators, promoting collaboration, co-creation and local commerce
  • Planet: Rewards brands committed to sustainable development, responsible consumption, circular economy, short supply chains, ethical product creation, sustainable fashion and upcycling
  • Profit: Showcases brands excelling in sustainable profitability, environmental performance, financial sustainability, economic fairness, responsible productivity, technological innovations and aiming for the triple bottom line: economic, social and environmental. These distinctions encourage businesses to adopt innovative and sustainable business practices while addressing contemporary challenges.

The jury panel of experts is drawn from the retail, property and communications sectors. Members include Aurélien Dobbels, Karine Blanc, Laura Peltier, Aleksandra Nagornaja, Daniel Lorenzo and Marie-Aude Hosten. The official award ceremony will take place in September 2024.
