The inauguration of a new boutique in the Luxembourg-Gare district took place on Wednesday 5 June 2024.

Located at 9 Avenue de la Gare (L-1611), Look Tic Chic offers a variety of women's clothing, accessories (handbags, etc.) and suitcases. The boutique opening follows the success of the Look Tic Chic pop-up store, which is located just a few doors down (15 Avenue de la Gare) and which will close its doors at the end of this month.

During a short speech at the inauguration of the new premises, manager Edmira "Eda" Tafilaku thanked the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) and the Luxembourg City Business Association (Union Commerciale de la Ville de Luxembourg - UCVL), among others, for their support. She promised to continue giving the project all her "energy, positivity and strength". The celebration was also an occasion for guests to browse the boutique and have a chat with the manager over food and drinks.

Speaking to Chronicle.lu, Eda explained how she had set up her business as a pop-up store back in September 2023. Originally from Albania, she moved to Luxembourg with her family three years ago. The accountant-turned-entrepreneur shared her inspiration to set up a family business; she currently works alongside her (soon-to-be) eighteen-year-old son. She added that she had also been inspired by her time living in Italy, her husband's country of origin; she wanted to bring more high-quality products (made from cotton, cashmere, etc.) to Luxembourg.

VdL alderwoman Corinne Cahen was among those present at the inauguration, as were representatives of the UCVL, including Director Anne Darin and Communication Manager Amélie Hieronimus. They explained the association's mission of supporting businesses in Luxembourg City, at all stages of their journey - from the business idea and creation (helping them set up, find premises…) to follow-up advice and support with communication, etc. The UCVL also supports integration, helping entrepreneurs coming from abroad (such as Eda) to better understand habits and trends in Luxembourg. The association works with businesses of all sizes and strives to create solidarity among its some 500 represented members who are encouraged to network and even join forces for certain projects or events. It also offers training courses, as well as a wealth of information via its resource centre in Luxembourg-Ville.

Currently, visitors can check out both the new Look Tic Chic boutique and the pop-up store (until later this month) on Avenue de la Gare.
