The first edition of the "Garer Maart", a new weekly market, took place in Place de Paris on Thursday, in the presence of the College of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg as well as officials of the Luxembourg market federation, Lëtzebuerger Maarteverband.

From now on, the Garer Maart will take place every Thursday from 07:30 to 14:00 in the brand new Place de Paris. A dozen stands with regional products will showcase the craftsmanship of local producers.

Place de Paris is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, by public transport and by car. The location is a few minutes walk from the Central Station (Gare) interchange hub and there is a vel'OH station! (Paräisser Plaz) on Rue Ste Zithe in the immediate vicinity of the new cycle path along Avenue de la Liberté. Visitors to the market can also take the tram to / from the Paräisser Plaz / Place de Paris stop or park their vehicles in the Fort Neipperg car park.
