On Friday 2 April, 40 Grand Rue in Luxembourg-ville was transformed into a temporary Pop-Up Store, specifically for the sale of Péckvillchen (bird whistles) for Easter 2021.

As both Easter Markets (Eimaischen, dating back to 1872) in Luxembourg-ville and Nospelt cannot he held (again) this year due to COVID-19n restrictions, the Ville de Luxembourg decided to have a Pop-Up (temporary) store - for 2 days only - in Luxembourg-ville's pedestrian zone.

The Péckvillchen have become a must-have collectible for many residents (and visitors, in "normal" times); this Pop-up Store gives people an opportunity to get one from this year (each year, different designs are used), and also from last year and previous years too.

There are a total of six stands in the Pop-Up Store, each offering different designs. The Mayor of Luxembourg-ville, Lydie Polfer, visited the Pop-up store with City Aldermen, on Friday lunchtime.

The Péckvillchen Pop-up Store at 40 Grand Rue is open from 09:00 - 18:00 today and tomorrow, 2 and 3 April 2021.
