Luxembourg company F4A - Food4All today announced its partnership with Nature Elements, launching on 23 March 2021.
Nature Elements is a well-established organic shop located in Luxembourg-Howald (18 Rue des Joncs), which offers a wide selection of high-quality organic products including food, alcohol, dietary supplements, personal hygiene and eco-friendly cleaning products.
As part of this partnership, F4A will showcase Nature Elements on its app and thus increase the visibility and ease the accessibility of their products to F4A users. The new collaboration will in turn enable F4A to expand the selection of organic products available on its app, allowing consumers to get access to more close-to-expiry organic products and, as a result, contribute to saving more edible goods from being thrown away.
F4A aims at further engaging with organic food distributors to promote a more sustainable food system, ensure a better preservation of natural resources and encourage healthier food purchasing and consumption habits.
As of 23 March 2021, F4A app users will be able to browse food categories and see which organic, close-to-expiry products are currently available at Nature Elements. Once in store, they can easily identify the products they selected through the F4A labels, add them to their basket and proceed to check-out as usual. This allows existing and new customers of Nature Elements to purchase organic goods at more affordable prices.
In addition, F4A has announced the following new features, which are either already available on or are soon to added to its app:
- Nutri-Score Label: this consumer-friendly labelling system converts the nutritional value of products into a simple barometer with five colours and letters varying from A to E to encourage consumers to make healthier choices;
- CO2 Calculator : the F4A app will soon allow its users to track how much carbon dioxide (CO2) they save when purchasing F4A products;
- Recipe videos: this feature is already available on the F4A app and allows users to view up to three new recipe videos based on the products available in F4A partner stores.
F4A was established in 2018 with the aim to reduce food waste in supermarkets. Through its tech solutions, F4A promotes close to expiry products at a discounted price and optimises the food supply chain.
