Cactus supermarket today reported a product recall due to the presence of an unlabelled allergen in certain products of the GO TAN brand.
GO TAN's 50g Kroepoek Asian Gourmet Chips have been found to contain gluten with no label indication thereof. Only products with certain lot numbers are thought to be compromised, these being 5121-4; 5127-3; 5127-4; 5147-4; 5154-3; 5170-4; 5175-314; 5190-3; 5196-3; 5201-3; 5209-3; 5209; 5219-3; 5219-4; and 5231-3.
Whilst these products have been withdrawn from sale at Cactus shops, some have already been sold at the national food authorities have therefore advised members of the public with gluten allergies to avoid consuming these particular products. The products are safe for consumption for those with no such allergy.
