Several second-hand markets and carboot sales have been organised for the coming winter months, to take place in Glacis carpark.
From 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2015, a second hand market will be set up in a marquee next to the Adventscircus tent on the Glacis field, offering children's toys and clothing and other items such as books and small furniture. On Sunday 29 November, Saint Nicolas will be making his traditional procession around the market, visiting the Adventscircus and distributing 'Boxemänncher' to children.
The following month, on Sunday 6 December 2015, a garage sale will be organised from 09:00 to 17:00 in the Glacis space. In order to help people who have not yet participated in the garage sales held every first Sunday of the month, the Ville de Luxembourg will be giving priority to those registering for the first time.
Those wishing to book a stand at the second-hand market or garage sale will need to register with the Festival and Markets Service of the Ville de Luxembourg at 9, Rue Chimay. The Service is open from 09:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday.
One location will be awarded per person, at a registration fee of €5 per 4x2m location. Benches and tables will also be made available by the Ville de Luxembourg. Only those selling items from their own households, and the sale of all articles prohibited by Luxembourg law, including the sale of animals or food and beverages, will not be allowed.
